Hi everyone,

 

at my Home Airport in the EU I reached the max. No. of Gates.

 

My Cash would be enough to build a Terminal, but as i read, the Gate cost will rise a lot.

Next to it i need to start paying Aircraft Leasing, so my Profits will decrease heavely. 

 

This would reduce my possibilitys to lease further Aircraft.

 

Now i am thinking to build up a second Base Airport and service the same destinations as from the first one, hoping that the Gate Leasing cost at those target Airports will be shared in a better way.

 

Or should i rather consider building a Terminal at the Homebase?

Terminals reduce gate cost significantly at most airports, and you're gonna have to build terminals in the future anyway if you keep expanding.

 

Starting ops at a second airport would help make your airline more resistant to competition and you can reuse gates at destinations that you have left over.

 

Either way would help you make more money, it depends on if you think you can make more money at a different airport vs expanding ops at your current home airport. If the second airport somewhat comparable in passenger numbers to your home base then starting ops at a second airport would probably make more profit, but ultimately you're gonna have to build terminals soon anyway.

Thanks very much.

Mixed the Terminal with the HUB, which doubles the cost as i read.

And started the second Airport in the meantime, but will leave that one and search for a better location
