[Dash 8]

Hi, just wondering, is it possible for me or someone to delete my display name history so it shows nothing, as if I had never changed the display name? Or do I literally have to make a new account? Is it possible for me to hide the display name history thing when I view my own profile or other people's profiles? (The display name history is the thing at the right column of everyone's profile page right under "User Tools" which you can click to see all the former display names the account has had, or if there were no former display names.)

 

I know it says I changed my name once before but I kind of have a case of OCD and it kind of bothers me that my display name change history is already not empty, especially with my account being this young. I learned that several other accounts of friends and others that are much older than mine, like more than 10 years old, have never changed their display name even once, and I feel kind of bothered by that. Sorry, I realize this is basically just a d**k measuring contest but I need a way to not feel stuck from it. I'm also kind of embarrassed about what my original display name was when I first made this account and I would prefer to hide that information from others.

 

I never used my real name myself, but I imagine there are many others on here who wouldn't want to show their real name to others for privacy reasons, but their real name was included somewhere in their display name history, which is right there on everybody's profile page for someone to click on, so there might be a privacy issue with not being able to hide display name history.

 

If the only possible way to clear the history is to make a new account, and I want the new account to have my current display name (Dash Eight), I assume I would have to change the display name of this account to something else (like Dash Nine), right? After that, am I able to use Dash Eight as the display name for my new account?
