In R0, the user who owns China Eastern also owns Swiss International Air Lines.

I noticed that China Eastern consistently had more planes than other airlines, even though they had only started delivery a year or so prior.

A little bit of digging reveals a pattern of Swiss International purchasing and then immediately selling aircraft, which are purchased by China Eastern. I am unable to find a single Swiss International aircraft that was purchased by anyone else, so this is clearly deliberate and the user is keeping track of when Swiss International sells their planes so they can be purchased on the exact day they come on the used market.

Pretty scummy, if you ask me. Only one airline should be allowed per user, per world.

Like you I don't like players having more than one airline in a world. I also don't like players operating a spam-line, what do you think?

Early in my AE career I did try using a second airline to sell a/c to my main operation with mixed results. Sometimes I got them, sometimes I did not. My understanding is that when a sold aircraft comes back to the market is somewhat variable.

Consider the examples above:

  • 3x sold Aug 12, bought Oct 4 = 40 game days, 53 calendar days
  • 2x sold Dec 18, bought Feb 14 = 44 game days, 58 calendar days

Perhaps he is just lucky.

While I would tend to agree, this is far more than luck. Aircraft are consistently sold within only a few months of delivery, and always purchased by China Eastern. This is deliberate.

Solution: don't care, AE has had exploits and spamlines for a decade, admins don't bat an eye

This is deliberate.

Probably. Whereas there is no doubt that running a spamline - as you do in R0 - is never by chance.

Looking at the timeline. Waiting almost 2 months to buy plane on second hand market doesn't sound like an effecive plan.

Aircraft don't go on the market immediately after being sold AFAIK; there's a lag time before they show up there, so the gap between the sale and the purchase by the user's other airline I don't think is evidence against the conclusion here.

"The moderators do not and will not do anything so you should simply not care" is, to be honest, a very bad take when this particular scheme of trading aircraft between two airlines in the same world controlled by the same player is very explicitly against the rules of the game. Maybe someone should care about that?
