Why am I having to wait 2 years for aircraft delivery?

I'm going to assume you're talking about the A319LR, since you've provided literally no other facts or any form of information.

Simply put, they don't start delivery till 2002. It's 2000 in the game world now.

You're provided with a delivery date when you ordered

Why am I having to wait 2 years for aircraft delivery?  

 

Could be:

• you have pre-ordered the aircraft
• you have other aircraft of the same family in your delivery queue (e.g. you order a Vickers Vanguard but already have Viscounts on order)
