Hey Guys!

Okay so i'm working on the finance page for V3, All the code is created for it, i'm simply working on design and who better for critique than those who will be playing it.

Are there any features or functions you'd like to see on this finance page?

I realised I was dyslexic when I went to a toga party dressed as a goat.

I saw that show, 50 Things To Do Before You Die. I would have thought the obvious one was "Shout For Help"

I take it leasing wont be included in V3 then? (Not complaining or anything, just clarifying!)

That was my first thought. As all of that info has been removed. What about color? Red for negative values?

Aircraft Leasing is planned, however not in the first release... Negative values are red and italic...

Ok. What about Tax? (VAT for us in Ireland/UK :P)

EDIT: What about interest on overdrawn balances?

Turnaround costs?

You have a bank balance, what about loan balance and/or monthly bank fees or finance charges?

Any chance for projected profits at the end of the month, so you can see before the end of the month what your cash balance will probably look like? Might help in determining whether to lower or raise some prices or frequencies on routes, or whether to rent gates in anticipation of purchasing new aircraft..

Just a thought :P

By features, i was more thinking Javascript features, like a calculator...

What do you think?

well specifically in response to a calculator i would say no, just because every pc comes with a calculator with more functionality and reliability than a javascript calculator feature would offer.

however, if perhaps there were a "spreadsheet" aspect to the finance page where you can alter the inputs to the calculations on a "play" statement to see the results carried throughout, that would be a nice little ajax feature :P and not so difficult to implement either

Building on this, perhaps it would be possible to export the finance details to excel (or other spreadsheets), so users can have their own little conversions and predictions made on them? I for one would love to have such a function.. I'm an Excel freak anyway, ask Maestro :P

That is certainly possible, I can export the table into a CSV file...

In my mind it would be better without the grids. A smoother look would be better. BTW any general scheme changes for the game coming up?
