Does A380 work as profitably compared to a 737 or A320 on short haul routes like Doha-Dubai?

If the demand is high then there is no problem. I think during the play on Rdelta last round i used to put my 747-400D and several other large airplanes such as MD-11 and B77E on a 48x daily flights (336x weekly or basically, 2 flights every hours) between HND and CTS.

Yes, also add more flights than the demand suggest. Preferably 10x the amount of the demand.

The extremely high leasing + running costs can become a problem if you get into a price war but if the demand is there then yes it can work. I've got a small number of A380s on short haul myself at the moment.

If you get into a pricing war, the incredibly high lease and operating expenses can become a concern, but if there is demand, it can work. I currently have a modest number of A380s on short haul.
