In older game worlds, the DC-9-30 can fly 2,400+ miles without weight restrictions. It's sort of like the A319LR of the 70s/80s. In the past I've been running DC-9-30s on routes like MIA-BUR, BOS-FAT, TPA-BOG, and CLT-SBA.

757-200/200M/300 are pretty good aircraft to have.

767-200ER for long haul. Lower capacity, but super long range.

Airbus A320-200  :D

Hear me out:

A319LR/A321
B738

B717-200
E190LR

The B737-700ER comes out a lot later than the A319LR, and the A321 outperforms the B737-900ER in almost every category anyway (apart from cost...)

So I keep my A320 family "specialized" while just using the B738 for general operations.

As for B717-200 and E190LR? Well, you've never lived till you try them out.

At that point I just slap 7 or 8 B737-800's on the route lol. I save my 757's for transatlantic routes.

In reality the 757-300 is one of the greatest aircraft! Widebody capacity with narrowbody economics is a huge winner! It was the right aircraft at the wrong time sadly! Never really got the love it deserved.... :'(

IL-96-300 is a fuel guzzler, but its low upfront cost makes it ideal for rapidly scaling an airline. It lets me break into 5000-mile+ routes way earlier than I would otherwise be able to. They're usually the first widebody I buy in a playthrough. They are starting to hurt me though as I ordered too many from the factory and signed 10-year leases. Next playthrough I might try ditching them once I reach 5B+ valuation rather than keeping them as a core part of my fleet.
