So got back into the game and started an airline in S1: One Hub/Terminal Limit. Been adding routes, especially at small airports. This morning pretty much every small airport in the U.S. had at least a gate open, if not several. Flash forward tonight and no gates available at any small airport for the most part. (I'm talking like 1 out of 20 maybe 30) To boot when I try to go to the airports page it comes up with this message: No airport was selected. Is this a game issue or did somebody go through and lease a gate(s) at every airport? Leaning towards the first due to that error.

Edit: While it appears some airports do indeed get that error, apparently Merica mass bought gates at all airports for spam purposes. Went to their profile and not using lots of them. http://ae31.airline-...ae3s1&player=24Guess there isn't a rule to that so I guess I have to wait until gates get returned for not being used. (Or is there a rule?) Can anyone tell me when gates get returned for being unused, can't recall.

Like if I don't try and be too aggressive with pricing but I've been in pricing wars with them in several markets

I could definitely see that. lol I don't really compete with them an any route but I can imagine the pain. Personally I think it should be against the rules to lease all gates in a country and not use them if you are doing it just to block people regardless of the fact they get returned. Could you imagine being a new airline and not having anywhere to fly?

Alright, looks like they did it again. Sent a message to Yuxi to see if there is a rule about it. Guess we'll see if I get a response.

I don't really like the pricing wars but it sucks that I can't build out more routes out of airports like Minneapolis or San Diego or Miami I believe because of some spamliners.

 

but Merica has really been tough for me and I'm like #20 in the ranks so I run a decent size airline.

 

and so on some routes with some smaller airlines I'm forced to compete more heavily with them because I lose value on some other routes that are popular for the spamliners

'Merica wants that #1 spot badly, so much that he created a second airline to attempt to harass me lol. That guy's desperate so unfortunately, your gate situation is likely to continue.

Pretty much, great way to spend money eh? I though you could only own so many gates even at smaller airports but negative.

 

I think it's laughable personally, I just wait and I know at some point within the day I can get gates. Then I think it's sad that some person is so despite to win a virtual game with no real prize involved. Oh well, their time lost, not mine. lol
