First time playing AE here, but, I started this game last night, and spent the whole $100m on planes and gates, I was making a gross income of $40m monthly. Within like 5 hours I actually turned it from 40m to a 250m gross income, now i'm making 260m with a 40m net profit. I'm quite happy with these figures, but I went to sleep, woke up, and i had made $300m and it's sitting in my bank. I currently have a fleet of 40. I have a couple of ultra short range planes, a 20 EMB 170's, 11 Illyushin II-96-300 for very long haul (which is making me a good amount of cash daily), and an MD-11 which is my largest earning plane at $450,000 daily. I suppose people can say that I've expanded too quickly, but I think I did it okay for my first time. But the question is, do I go into buying new long haul planes, used long haul, or go short haul? What do you recommend I do with this money? (BTW, all of my planes are leased apart from 1 emb170 which I own).

Since the airline is financially stable, it would be worthwhile to invest more in long haul. I'd suggest leasing off the used market first, that way you can get many aircraft at once. Make sure you use as few aircraft and engine types as possible to reduce your maintenance costs.

The MD-11 is a pretty poor choice in my opinion (because of its fuel consumption, runway requirements and range). I personally like the A340-300 for the role of LH-ULH flights (due to the same reasons but as benefits). Fuel efficiencyt has a much bigger impact on income performance than you might expect. Ide use these instead of your IL-96-300s aswell. Instead get the IL-96-400 as it has the same fuel efficiency but 136 more seats; and use these where u'de be flying the MD-11s on routes <5000mi (as this is it's range). Ofc as a general tip use fuel efficiency as a majour guide when looking to purchase new aircraft types.

Another tip - try to avoid competitive routes (where you are required to drop your prices to fill your planes), as they will dwindle your aircraft's profit
