Fuel flow is a measurement of how much fuel each engine on that type of aircraft consumes per unit of measurement. Preferably you would want to choose an aircraft with lower fuel flow as that would mean less fuel consumption and therefore less money spent on fuel but bear in mind that this could also directly affect the speed at which the aircraft cruises (though in the game the differences are minimal). Newer aircraft also tend to have lower fuel consumption than older ones.

Oh yea, i would like to know if the fuel flow is hourly..and the fuel prices...that would be useful thanks

I'm not sure whether it is hourly or the fuel prices. But you can calculate that I imagine. On each flight in the flight list you can see fuel costs. Compare that to the aircraft's fuel flow and eventually you can come up with some thing

Thanks for the insight. Will try it out

Does anyone know how the fuel flow figures are actually derived? If I recall correctly from a forum post (probably a few months or even years ago) the fuel flow figures in AE are from max thrust at takeoff, not cruising speed
