I'm a little obsessed with how the values are calculated within Airline Empires, but I'm stuck with how PAX Demand is calculated.

I know Passenger Demand:

Increases during the first 10 years of the game,

Varies throughout the year,

Involves Distance and Annual Passengers.

But I can't figure out the relationship between them.

There is a negative correlation between Distance and Passenger Demand.

The Longer the Distance the less the Demand.

And a greater Annual Passenger value increases the Demand.

I've calculated out almost everything else (Including Landing Fees) except for this.

Has anyone worked it out before?

I think demand is more based on general populations of cities

I don't think so, i think it's some algorithm based on the annual passengers of each airport from somewhere between 2006 and 2013
