I need help, i'm creating my first livery with GIMP and i have put an image in the fuselage i have no problems but when the image is in the tail either the tail covers the image or the image covers the tail. Pls help

What you want to do is copy the flag so that you have two of them right on the same spot, then move one over the fuselage layer and the other over the tail layer. This way it'll look like one image is on both layers.

I don’t know how GIMP works, but I’m sure this is where masks come into play?
I use affinity and what I need to do is create a blank layer that is pinned to the fuselage, tail layer etc then the stuff you put on that layer is clipped to the fuselage/tail etc.
There is a GIMP tutorial pinned in the livery request section I think, that should explain it.
