This is a scumline. What half-empty girl posted is a spamline.Mine? "Any airline that exploits any game feature/bug/glitch in order to gain an unrealistic advantage".

The spamline gets its main income from blue pax. It is unrealistic AF and it overshadows the rest but mostly it isn't a problem for the rest of airlines, they even raise the prices a ton so there is margin for the rest of airlines to still earn money. They normally operate an all tourist configuration and have a rather organised fleet
The scumline is a different story. They are mainly noob spamliners. They flood the routes an lower their prices so much that other airlines can't even compete without losing profits. They feel a strange pleasure when they nuke the revenues of another airline and all they want is to drive to bankruptcy any airline that dares to fly any route that they have. They can max out their planes with tourist seats but the most choose to (when they purchase used planes) leave any configuration that the plane may have had before. This way, they have twenty different configurations for each plane. Normally, they don't grow as big as a proper spamline but they kill anything that comes in their way
Another thing, though there are many exceptions, is that the spamlines only order planes way past their production end date if they give a real strategic advantage for the airline, while the scumline can have pending deliveries of Vickers Viscounts till 2020.
To sum it up, the spamliner is someone that mastered the physics of the game in a way that few of us can really comprehend. The spamliner is an elevated spirit, a guru and someone that reached the nirvana of fantasy airline management, a pontifex maximus of AE
The scumliner is a total arsehole and a bully, someone that ruins the fun of the game for everybody, that their only achievement in their lives is a trophy under their names.
For the sake of everyone here, don't be the second one

Any airline with a higher valuation than the accuser.

In one hub limit, you really gotta outgrow the competition and scumline. Catch the cancer at stage 1 and eliminate it. The short term loss will be less than allowing the competition to grow. I killed 2 startups at HND this round.

spam•line (noun)
a derogatory term used to refer to airlines that are said to exploit game mechanics (of course, this claim is highly subjective)
"in AE, spamlines ruin the game for everybody"

I would say it's the other way around. Scumlines are the ones you call gurus and Nirvana's and all that BS. You are aware that their "genius" is merely just the use of an exploit in a badly broken game. There is a difference between a spamline and a scumline

Now calling new players arses and bullies is just rude. They don't know the mechanics of the game so they really have no other option than to spam routes and use scam IFS. How can you be against these people yet praise gamebreakers?

It's a game. As long as everyone has an even chance to use the same settings what does it matter?
How is it a scam if everyone can do it and knows about it?
Everyone set IFS to 1 star/ max price and forget about it. Everyone is even. What's the big deal? Realistic? OMG seriously? 24 days in a month and we are going to worry about this?
999/1000 games people gripe about things not being fair..... only here are people upset that everyone is even

Well said.
The important point to note is that once the "blue pax" airline gets enough momentum (1,000,000+ daily pax), they can set the price much higher. The "realistic" players can still play at default prices & fill their planes with green pax. In other words, the activities of experienced, intelligent "bluepax spamliners" wont impact those who still want to play realistically.

Spam lines are lazy.
Using a well conceived plan with multiple airlines I can see how this exploit could beat any airline operating by itself. Its just a numbers game of using more planes to drive pax to the main line than one line can compete against on its own.
One on one.... I am not so sure... I think someone has you fooled into believing spam lines are a superior method, imo they are not. It's just way easier to set a plane with all Y seating to a single route with 100 other planes on it at 1$ than it is to set 100 routes to small airports. This difference is time. It takes waaaaay longer to set up a hub a spoke system... but when you do you realize it makes more DOP with the same amount of planes.
Green pax earn more than blue pax... there is no getting around this.
The planes you put on a 1$ routes do not earn as much as they do on normal routes if you actually use them properly. It's just mindlessly easy. Once you start you lose the capacity to think of how to actually use them. 1$ routes become a crutch for a player who is lost on what to do next. I have only seen 1 player actually doing something interesting and thats the emperor... needless to say Im looking forward to the next long world reset... the rest seem to be imitators who are actually hurting their balance sheet.

@FearofFlying
For a "smart" spamline, $1 routes are a necessity at generating initial blue traffic. Once you generate enough, you can jack up the prices so high that you'll make more money with blue traffic than green traffic.
