I am playing in world O2 and started a series of flights from my hub in Chicago O'Hare to Berlin Tegel, and after I established them, I was making -20k per day on the route (flying vickers vc-10's 15 times a week). I deleted those routes and then started ones to Honolulu instead. That is a similar distance, but with the same aircraft and frequency, I am making 73k a day. Is there something I am missing or are some routes just randomly unprofitable?

Also I suspect there will be additional taxes for international flights vs domestic US flights.

Did you check the VC-10's fuel usage? It's kinda high.

Also check the "Other Fees" Category in your flights' information. Because ORD-HNL is a domestic flight technically, the fees might be lower than an international flight like ORD-TXL. Also, the VC-10 family has a very high fuel consumption, so I find them best for short domestic flights as opposed to longer international flights (1,500 miles or less). And of course, if you have competition, that will affect your profitability as well.

You want to profit? Do not use DC-8-20/30 or VC-10. Fuel flow through the ****ing sky
