So my airline Liberty Air's aircraft all operate around full daily utilization. Does this alone make me a spamline if everything else is  semi realistic?

I think you need to understand, do not let others dictate the way you wish to play.

If you want to make a spamline, so be it.

If you want to make a semi realistic airline modelled upon a real life airline, so be it.

 

AE is made to be enjoyed, no matter how you wish to play. So just play

In response to the question, yes, it is a spam line. The fact is, if a plane was used at 19-20 hours a day, the later flights would be cancelled and all of the earlier ones would be very late. Not to mention maintenance falling behind a bit...

Fair enough. We may have different opinions on spam lines, which is fine I guess.

 

Also - I'm not posting for post count anymore. I mean, if I hit a milestone number, I'll celebrate because why not but I'm gonna actually post productive stuff from now on. That 4 week mod ban really taught me

In the good old days of AE Classic, it was easy to get negative hours available on your planes. 24 hour utlization

 

But yeah, as Burger King says, Have It Your Way, unless you're doing dubious stuff like actually hacking.

I remember in IVAO there are several penalties for using flight acceleration or flight without PIC. considered cheating. and condemned for all players. like spamliners.

i will start a debate in other thread because i think using 20h daily is normal for some real airlines.

i dont think you should be sad. Its the state of the game and a truth i reflect.

I dont think there is a way currently, where AE can monitor and control an airline expansion without drastically changing the way the game is and how it needs to be played.

Could perhaps the dev make a new world that limits say aircraft deliveries to perhaps 20-30 per year? An option but perhaps some might not like it. Just putting it out there.

Please give me a reliable source that shows that ANY real-life airline is using 20h util a day on ANY plane

The most I'm using for widebody aircraft is just below 14 hours, while narrow-body aircraft get up to 12.75 hours of utilization. Is this realistic enough?
