GMI is not a first timers alliance. You need to go to SkyWorld and National for that.
Soon it won't really be so much the case for SW, but for now yes.

Wrong alliance for first time players. I applied 3 times if I recall correctly. Once as a relatively new player, once as a slightly more advanced player and once now as one of AE's most experienced players and only just got in. There's a lot of work to do if you want to prove yourself worthy
