You are not able to return gates from a (Terminal) - If you have a HUB - Then Yes the next day when you have NIL gates the Hub will go away.

Terminal is what you BUY and when you build a Terminal your gates are returned to the market - Therefore, closing it or not using a single slot / leg in the Terminal will just lay dormant.

There are gates but you own them and cant be taken away from you. :P

Why do you quote Mistake?

It is right if you think back to when you built the terminal, all those gates you had, went back into the market, so that makes it even, if you close up shop (So to Speak) and if the terminal gates went back to the market, then that would be double gates added to the market.

Then YES that I do agree, so suggest you post under Headding (Suggestions) for future edition of AE, be nice to have the (Reset Terminal) Destroy link added.

Wrong, you have NO GATES you own a Terminal, Terminal gives you SLOTS / Like Gates so you can declare.

Geez Jazy, can you get that sig any longer?

You can't return the gates for your terminal, but if you leave your account alone for two weeks without signing in, you should automatically be reset.
