Just wondering if all-economy is more profitable or 2-class or 3-class cabin is more profitable?

For max profit, pure First class would be more profitable. But there is limited demand on routes, so you'd struggle to get anywhere.
That's because fares for first are worth more than the equivalent economy fare/seats.

I've posted in a forum to you before,
First is equal to 2.5 economy seats
Business is 1.6 economy seats.
As long as the fare is greater than that ratio (compared to economy) it'll bring in more money per PAX.

You could run First/Business on the same routes as an economy airline to good effect as well.

Hi guys
Just wondering if all-economy is more profitable or 2-class or 3-class cabin is more profitable?

For realism, I'll do 2-class on 737s, A320s and medium-haul widebodies (767s, A330s) and 3-class for long-haul widebodies (777s).

The term "profitable" in this case also depends on the IFS you're providing and the configuration you're using. However, I do not suggest using 1 class (especially for long-haul!!), unless it's a turboprop or regional jet.

If a route has a demand of F:C:Y as 5:30:300, and let's say you're using a 777-300 with 1 class aka 550 Y seats. You can only operate 3-4 weekly frequencies as any more than that will mean overcapacity. However if you have a 3-class config 777-300 (4F 42C 220+Y), you can operate 7 weekly freqencies.

All economy is best by a country mile if you know how to use it

Not always though. Especially when there is no competition from the prmium cabins, they can make quite a pretty penny.

No. All-Economy is always more profitable, if you know how to use it

I specifically target airlines that spam economy class and ignore business and 1st class.

It's easy to get them to drive down the economy class prices while I make huge profits on business and 1st class.........along with getting more repetition because I'm filling all passenger demand.

And yes, I know how to use it.......all economy seats, especially when your starting out.

But I also know how to turn that against another airline when a route becomes competitive, economy is split while I get the business and 1st class.
