I'm trying to figure out what to replace my older fleet with. The year is 1988 and there isn't much to choose from. I can basically choose the MD-11 if i want something the same size or downsize to a 767 or A300.
What do you all think? 
What should i replace my DC-10 and L1011 fleets with

767 and also wait for A330 and 777. MD-11 is not as profitable as 767 buy you can definitely try them if you want. A300s are great on trunk SH/MH flights.

If you don't want to wait for the A330 / B777, you can also replace them now with B747's (-300/-400).

Your fleet of those is only a few years old. Keep them for a bit. Then replace them with 777s, A330s, A340s, and MD-11s

When the Airbus A300 comes out in 1974 they are a good choice for medium haul routes.

MD-11 is not that bad but it is not as profitable as other birds

absolutely, can confirm this from my own experience. did the same.. switched from dc-10-30 and 40 to a330-200 worked very well
