The year is 1960 in my world and the people of france live in constant darkness, sunlight is effectively blocked by airplanes.

If 1/10th that many planes would actually be flying over france, planes would smash into eachother several times an hour. We'd need red lights on balloons and police with jetpacks to regulate traffic.
