For the first time since 1908 the Chicago Cubs have won the World Series 8-7 in an interesting rain delayed 10 inning Game 7. Cleveland (the team and the city in general) dropped the ball giving up an initial 3-1 lead in the series.
Just as a quick example as to how I feel about this victory, my family comes from Central Illinois. My grandfather's ashes are scattered in the ivy at Wrigley, one of my earliest memories of my great-grandfather is of him complains about the Cubs' championship drought. My great uncle has tickets from the 1908 World Series purchased by my great-great-grandfather. So yeah, it's been a long time coming.
The Cubs won

Probably for the best considering the Indians’ logo controversy
