An offline version of AE would defeat the purpose of playing it in my eyes. However, a mobile version would be neat.
I agree

An Android version wouldn't be too difficult, I'll take a look into that. No promises though

How would they fit everything on the mobile screen? It could work on an iPad, but not an iPhone 6, which I have currently

It could be done.
More scrolling and whatnot.
But currently I use AE on Android, just on landscape orientation. I have a big phone (6 inch)- Huawei Mate 8

No, it depends on a hell of a lot more, like the RAM to store the game data, how powerful the graphics chip is to display the pages, route maps etc..
AE has been unplayably slow on my various collection of low-end Android devices, however I can play it on a 4s. The internet conection good deal worse on my iPhone cos I switched to a cheaper operator, yet it's been my most playable experience yet. It really comes down to how powerful your device is

GPRS/EDGE is lelslow. I think you meant 3G as a way to connect via the mobile networks?

Edge is too slow to do anything useful. Minimum tbh is hsdpa. On my Oneplus X (an upper-range phone no one has heard of, hence its ludicrously low £200 price point) the phone automatically optimises the site for mobile, and that way the game becomes extremely easy to play for a 5 inch screen.

I use UMTS most of the time, it works with the site. My phone doesn't do auto adjustments to the site, but I have bandwidth saver mode, so it somehow works out.

Any news on this topic?
I really like the Idea of AE on Android.
The AE developers will probably announce if they are going to make it/made it.
