Not sure how much interest there would be for a world that starts in 2015, but I would be interested in taking part in a world that features some of the newest planes right from the get-go (or at least just a few short years in if it were to start in 2010).  I understand that little to no new aircraft types would be available later on as the game progresses, but I'd still give this game world a shot if it were an option.

 

Is there enough interest in the AE community for a game world starting in 2010 or 2015?

Aircraft types still need to added to the game to make a world like this viable I believe. These would include the 77X,A330neo,A380neo/900,A321neoLR. Although I would like a later or current world that starts in perhaps 2010 - 2040/50.

The A380neo/900 hasnt even been confirmed yet

Even without those new aircraft types, there are plenty of current production ones in place.  So what if an airline can't have more than twenty aircraft families?

problem you have is you dont really know whats even going to live or die in the next 30 years, who knows the a380 might get scrapped for no reason haha

I strongly support this one. We don't have enough modern world in AE. Out of 18 worlds in AE, only 4 of them start at the modern time (1995) in which only 1 of them is Realistic world that started in 2000, the other is special worlds. I think it should start either at 2005 or 2010 and last for only 20 years instead of 30 because it would become too long and unpredictable. so it should be 2005 - 2025 or 2010 - 2030.

 

I like to try to build realistic airlines. But come on now, it's not gonna be in the world that starts at 1970's.

Well obviously it is gonna be scraped, in 2 years it's gonna turn 10 years old. Most airliners only popular for 20 - 30 years anyway. Just like A330, B737NG, A320, B777-200/300, or B747-8i.

Whoa, I strongly support this idea, I always want a really modern world starting in 2010 or 2015 to 2040. I'm getting bored with these old world.. haha

I dont care about no one knows about whats gonna happen in the future worlds, but Im really excited when Im playing in the modern world with modern aircrafts (when I reach year 2010 at every world I play).

 

So, admin, why don't you create a new server for us who want the really modern world? and let us play with some present and future aircraft like B787, A350, B777X, A330NEO, B737 MAX, etc. Just give us Realistic World 2010/2015 to 2040 and its enough for us.. haha

 

The rest who want those "realistic" old world, you guys still can play in your prefered available world.. haha

I miss the ten year sprint worlds. Let's give this a try, start in 2010 make it a ten year world. Have a feeling you are going to get bored with anything longer, as upgrading your fleet is part of the game.

I think 10 year would be to short. 20 year would probably be best. But with 15 minutes @ day.

Let's just remember R6. While it was fine the way it used to be, it was popular as 2000 - 2040. Now that it end in 2030, maybe it's a 2010 - 2040/5 you should be looking for. I most likely wouldn't use it, but for those who would that's what you should probably look at.

Yeah, 2000 is not good enough, 2010 sounds good actually.

200 is the beginning of the ultra modern era anyway. 2010 to 2025 or 2030 would be good. 2040 is too late.
