It would be great to have a button allowing a user to pay a bond out in full rather than having it there for years paying an annoyingly small amount. I couldn't see it being difficult to implement as it would work the same as the pay-out-lease option for aircraft.

Or you're broke but make money which happens from time to time.

Yea, I bought A/C just before end of month and went into the red in the new month. Wanted to get out quickly to not damage rep so got some bonds. Have money to pay back and want to but can't.

If I recall correctly, early bond repayment will be a feature in the upcoming AE4 rewrite. Until then, we'll have to deal with the current system.

This should be available in the game since they use this system in real life. The only catch is you would get penalty from the bank for paying early.

Why on earth would they penalise you for paying early? (In AE, I mean)

Because Bank making profit from Interest. The longer the time it took to pay off your debt, the more you have to pay for them. Breaking off contract would have a negative impact on the profit and it means the Bank loses one of its victims. Don't worry though, usually the penalty is not really that big. Also, I hope the new feature includes how long do we need to pay back our loan.

Why do it in AE? I don't know, because it's more realistic or YOLO?
