Hi everyone, 

 

I've not been playing the game that long (about 3 real weeks) and just wondering how I'm supposed to compete on routes when someone completely floods the market.

 

I have been flying the TLS - IST route for some time, but a new competitor has started on the route and has completely flooded the route by having and 125x weekly service.

 

 

Or when trying to start new routes and your met with frequency's like this;

 

 

I'm not having a moan, just find it extremely frustrating and difficult, especially when trying to compete, I'm all for a bit of competition, but trying to compete with this frequency's like this is difficult.

You really can't do anything about except perhaps match their frequencies. I've been here before (and many other members), so I know what you're talking about.

If it's that bad, then ditch the route and find another that's far more profitable?

Don't try and compete. Go into the route hit the refresh button for prices and see what happens.

Agreed. You will meet this kind of situations sometimes. I've seen people making the prices as low as $1 when that route's economy can be like $350+

Quite nostalgic actually. But I don't think I would go that extreme. Find another profitable routes. Most of the time, less passengers mean more money.

Maybe if there was a cap on IFS prices, that would be good. Or just make it so that passengers simply refuse to buy them if they're overpriced, just like in real life. This should prevent spam right off the bat.

I have noticed that aswell, What I typically do just to level out the playing field is I will do the same, but with a different route. If you really hate seeing flooded routes, I would suggest not playing O1, because there is a lot of it in that world.

Double edged sword. I use 3* Scam sometimes to keep up with the 1* Scammers. My operational costs are much higher, so I still lose out. Cut the Scam IFS and you plunge my nice airlines into uncertainty, even though the problem remainsm

None of the airlines actually flooding the routes. They just got lots of competitions.

That's interesting because you only operate airlines in Realistic worlds, but in those worlds American airlines are unable to fly to North Korea, and visa versa.
