I'm new to the game and love it, I chose R6 because I thought it would be interesting to play but I found that there is very little realism. A lot of airlines fly high demand regional routes with small planes with weekly frequencies that are insane (170x??), there is also absolutely no consideration of fuel efficiency, yet they remain profitable.

 

If this was even remotely possible these airlines would have to build their own control tower just schedule their planes in each airport not to mention runway congestion and the related mess that this would entail, also terminals are built of any size anywhere with a moderate cost, I understand this is part of the game in order accomodate 200 to 300 hundred airlines but it seems like there should be a cap there as well.

 

Is there a world that gets closer to real life than the R(s) ?

 

I love to compete but profitable route spamming is very demotivating...

It's great to have someone who loves realism joining us! You'll fit right in.

However due to the desire of others to build spam lines and us to build airlines, compromises must be made and in the cases of spam lines they still leave huge realism gaps.
