Here it is! 3D is coming to town!

 

So far I only have a sole 3D model - the 767-400ER, but the -200, -300 and winglet versions as well as a few more aircraft types are well on its way. This is an exclusive feature of Alliedwings as only members may be granted 3D livery and rendering requests.

 

If you aren't an Alliedwings member, you may still request liveries and renderings but you will only be given a 800x300 2D (side view) version which I will not be showcasing on this thread.

If you wish to paint these models on your own, I will be uploading layered paintkits. They're not yet ready though since I'm still doing the wings. It works pretty much like painting FSX or FS2004 aircraft for those familiar with it. I might also be uploading tutorials on how to modify reflection maps for those who like to paint bare metal liveries.

Would it be possible to get the 3D models themselves so those of us who are somewhat knowledgeable in 3D design can render them ourselves?

Unless there’s a cash incentive agree, otherwise I think the 3D models should be kept exclusive to Alliedwings.

Autodesk 3DS MAX. The textures are made with Corel PainShop Pro and Photoshop. I render with mental ray since I don't have Vray (a much better renderer) but mental ray does the job for now.

They ARE exclusive to Alliedwings. Paint kits are free for everyone (found in the Alliedwings page) but 3D renderings are free for members only. Source files though are for sale at turbosquid.com. So if you see someone outside of Alliedwings posting 3D renderings of my planes, it's probably because he/she bought source files from me.
