I wanted to get started in designing for the summer and I was wondering what is the best image editing software for airline liveries and logos. I know Photoshop is probably the most popular but I wanted to know the best for the money and for what I'm designing.

Thank You!

Also have a look at GIMP and pixlr.com - both are free, pixlr is browser based, so you don't even need to download anything, and pretty good for what it is. I use it for a lot of basic stuff because it's quicker than firing up image-editing software. If you're looking to build image-editing/design skills, though, it might be a bit of a dead-end.
