it would be more challenging if we had crash. planes would crash if you don't check them for heavy maintenance every 5 years and it would cost more if the plane is 20 years or older. If you don't check it for mantinence, then you could crash it and it would cost you money. Even if you check it for mantinence if it is over 30 years, then it could still crash. I think this will add realisim and make ae more challenging.

I'm not sure on crashes, as implementation can prove to be controversial. Anyone else know the latest status on them?

Honestly,although maintenance makes it challenging but the maintenance here now is auto but the cost increases as the age grows.If eg if maintenance levels is included and the person does not come back for a long time,the airline can just go bankrupt and with planes crashing.

Crashes come up frequently in the forums, and it's simply too controversial out into game, firstly random crashes can pick on one airline more so than another with unfair consequences, also crashes are rather distasteful and not frequent in the real world
