One of the things that I like about Airline Empires is that most of the information is transparent and easy to access. However, one of the few things I don't understand is how to improve route reputation factors like legroom and on-time performance. Also, how much does the reputation really matter towards getting passengers?

legroom is how many human will you squeeze into your planes. the less the better.

on time performance related with your use of fleet. how many planes will you use on certain routes, and how many hour a day (max 20/ or 140 per week). more planes and less flight hours are better.

reputation helps you getting passengers (and keep them). if there are two airlines running the same route with the same fare for tickets, the one with better reputation gets more passenger. if your reputation is high enough (and your competitor's low), the passenger can still decide to use your airline although the competitor's price is lower.

Skyswimmer's points are all very good.

I would add that during the early phase of a new world, you will probably have to run your planes more hours in order to ensure profitability.

Once you get over the hump and have a good steady cash flow, you can start reducing the # of hours that you fly per plane.
