Hi all.

Fairly new to this game - enjoying it immensely!  Thanks and congrats to the devs and those that support its ongoing operation and improvement.

Just wanted to check - AE does not allow for routes featuring multiple legs, right?  I'm operating an airline based in Australia and can only create direct flight routes.  Am I missing something?  Ie., I'd like to create a SYD-DXB-LHR route for example.

Thanks,

J

You can simulate this in the worlds without political restrictions (O1, O1, S3-B ) though very little of this traffic will be connecting and mostly O&D due to the way ae pax works.

You can, but irl, the SYD-DXB-LHR carries loads and loads of connecting pax, something that doesn't occur very often in ae

Why I said open hubs...

Hubs in game only give you so many pax, you have to increase the price to a point where you get healthy load factors but very little O&D and in which case you're probably losing money if you have competition, you then lower the price resulting in an increase in O&D and kicking off the connecting pax.

OK, I'm dumb.  O & D?  Can't figure it out for the life of me!  (And I have a former airline background!)

Origin and Destination. So if I said for example "ATL-LAX has very little O&D demand" this would mean that very few passengers begin and end their trip in Atlanta and Los Angeles, rather these passengers are transferring at either Atlanta or Los Angeles or even both.
