Apologies if this is posted in the wrong forum.

I am a bit confused about SJU. It is marked as Puerto Rico, rather than USA, which means that as a US-based airline I cannot operate flights from SJU to anywhere else in the Caribbean.

Is there a reason for this? In real life SJU is part of the US (domestic flights, US airlines can fly SJU-non US etc.)... Or is it just a bug?

I agree SJU should be considered USA as are STT, STX, and even GUM.

What's confusing me about this is that if I try to open a route (say) SJU-NAS I am told that I cannot because of political restrictions... surely there are no political restrictions for a US airline flying USA-Bahamas?

SJU isn't part of US in game because most of the game is before they joined US making it less realistic for before 2013

Puerto Rico has been a US Territory since 1898...and it became a Commonwealth in 1947....all pre-AE timelines....

Well, quite. Also the political restrictions seem fairly sophisticated to me, taking the opening of the EU market in 2002 as an example...

Move this subject to the airport bug tracker and see what the programmers have to say.  My vote is that if my US-based airline can fly from GUM to Canada, I should be able to fly SJU to Canada.

SJU should have the same political restrictions as Guam, but this was glitched in S3-C. It's now fixed. :)

If Puerto Rico is not working as it should in other worlds, let me know.

Route creation looks fixed but I cannot create a hub at SJU the way I can at GUM.
