Noticed as I was going to route flights to spanish speaking countries, the small Central American countries are hard to find between all the big American airports. Therefor i propose a category for Central America itself in the Browse Airports section. I don't know if this has been up before, if that is the case sorry

 

I feel it's a very easy fix and would greatly help those trying to fly there...

I am sure it's been mentioned but not really taken seriously...Either Caribbean needs to be its own to or it needs to be Central America/Caribbean in one as I struggle with finding both. Along with some of the Pacific Island which are often hidden in Various continents...Like SouthEast Asia, and Asia.

I think it should be Central America/Caribbean and Pacific Islands. As much as I would like a Former Soviet Union category, it would take too much coding and delay AE4 even more.

I think that central america is necessary, and I'd also like to see south east Asia classified under Asia and Australia/New Zealand/Pacific put in a new category, ideally Oceania.

 

I'd like to see south east asia and Asia combined because when I search for airports within Asia to fly to from, say, Hong Kong,  I don't get to see stuff like Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur.

 

But to go back to the point of this topic, central America is the thing that needs to happen most, if you ask me.

If there's SE Asia filter there should also be East Asia (PRC, ROC, HK, Macau, Japan, ROK, DPRK, Mongolia) and South Asia (Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka and Maldives), the regions are different in many ways and somewhat distant for most routes, it would be much simpler to find trans-Himalayan flights that way, and generally finding South Asian airports can be kinda hard when they're mixed with huge East Asian airports...

By the way, I think that ex-Soviet filter is a bad idea, the area would be huge and with large differences, and the filter could be a bit politically controversial anyway, many of ex-state peoples hate being associated with CCCP, and some of them are a part of the EU now...

 

Maybe Central Asia filter would be a good idea for Soviet -stans and Caucasus, they have similar small traffic airports that are even harder to notice among and are quite distant from big Asian airports, maybe they could be packed with what is now Middle East to form something like West and Central Asia filter... (some could also object political correctness of the "Middle East" as Eurocentric).

Possssssssibly we should, for AE4, be aiming for a slightly different region system whereby the regions are a bit smaller and you can select multiple regions at once, as it provides the best of both worlds as far as too big/too small would be.

(London Heathrow, for example, might be considered to be in both "Europe" and "Western Europe")

 

In the meantime, I'd definitely like to see central america.
