Hello,

Has anyone brought the VC-10. Because i have and i am having trouble finding a route that will turn profitable when only using the VC-10? Is this just me or is the VC-10 just a earlier release of the concord??

Well, it's profitable for me as long as you don't run into heavy competition. :P And if you need a longhaul plane before the 747 enters, it's a great choice for a jet. :)

but its got a massive fuel flow! and for a long haul plane i would just go for the Boeing range that is available to us in RO  :P

fair enough!! But i pre-ordered them long ago so i have them still coming? But i have tried to place it on thousands of routes but they are never profitable because the plane ha such a high fuel flow and is not profitable!!! I have around 15 of them i will probably buy them all and then sell them because they are expensive to keep as well and are non-profit as well!!

I use them to lockup route then replace the routes with 707s and eventually 767s

Vc-10s are a disaster. Don't use them

I agree with the DOC! But if I have leased 18 on me and I have around 50 coming in then what shall I do! Also what about the super VC-10 which I have about 25ish on order! Would it be better if I just sold them ASAP!!!

How about trying not to compete too heavily? :P

Or just offer only half the demand and raise fares. (Ans no, they are better than the concorde, having a lower fuel burn per mile and a higher capacity)

best to avoid the VC-10 and the DC-8-30 (other DC-8s are good) , but the Super VC-10 is kinda profitable ..
