Hello all,

In early February I began to develop a game called Airfield City. It was to be based around the development of an airport and the city around it. Earlier this month I finished up the graphics and began the development of the game itself. Now I am actively looking for members to beta test for Airfield City (critique the game as its being developed, etc). All you need to do to become a beta tester is like Airfield City's Facebook page (https://www.facebook...383862481711020), you will then be entered in a drawing to pick Airfield City's two beta testers.

Thanks!

Regards,

Peter.

I'm with Fox on that.  I'd really like to lend a hand and picking two facebook likers gives you too small of a testing population.  The people who are picked could say, 'oh yeah, looks fantastic', while those familiar with other sorts of similar games would say 'you know, you need to add this and subtract this'.  I'd suggest even a sign-up sort of thing.

Don't be silly, MidF!

It's a well known fact that the success of a game is directly related to the number of people who 'like' it on social media sites.

Simply 'encourage' everyone to like it, and you have the world's best game before you know it!

Basing your opinion on a game based on it's actual merits is sooooooooooooo last century.

Why not have more beta testers and why not do something better than using facebook likes which is gimmicky? D:

Actually, I knew you were going to ask this, Fox. I decided to use Facebook for two main reasons, the largest reason was that it acts as advertising for us. If you like the page it comes up on your friends "news feed", etc. I've seen many apps with great graphics, good game plot, but only get around 500 downloads in the two years they are on the Google Play, due to their lack of advertising. The second being that it can be a "hub" that many different sources can lead to, rather than starting a "sign up" topic on every forum I share it on.

This is the first app I have created, so its an experiment. If I find flaws in this system I will amend it the next time around.

"Why not have more beta testers?"

There are actually 4 beta testers, two online, and two local beta testers in my town. It's a reasonable number considering it's a relatively simple app.
