Alliance logo's, when they are displayed just look sloppy. To remedy the sloppiness, the alliance logo uploader should allow PNG's. The quality would be substantially upgraded.

What is currently required is that the logo is 50x50 and under 50kb. Even if you allowed .PNG, the logos would continue to be under 50kb. As displayed below:

Both of them are under 50kb

And surprisingly the .PNG is substantially smaller, at only 4.06kb. And remaining quite a bit sharper. While the .JPG is over 15kb, and is quite blurry.

I really don't see the difference between the two logos. :/ Both seem to be as fine/sloppy as the creator had made it.

You don't have the eye :P Eye can see the .jpg has a lighter tone and is blurred on the edges, the .png is much bolder and cleaner on the edges. I never upload images as .jpg, always gotta be .png for me.

whenever I upload a file, always .png as even after the system converts it back to jpg, it still comes out better quality :P

I see a substantial difference between PNG and JPG. I think PNG should be accepted, the branding looks so much better! :P

It is so obvious but still not a big deal in my mind.

Indeed the difference in quality is huge between .PNG and .JPG, and remembering the .PNG is a very versitile format it's puzzling it can't be accepted as a valid image file format.

It is technically 'accepted' it just gets converted into .jpg after upload

I've always been a fan of PNGs...dunno why I kept the system as JPGs when I made the current upload system. Inertia I guess :P
