Bombardier Q400:
- More seats than the HS 748 (78)
- Faster than the HS 748 by alot (359 mph compared to 281 mph); 2 HS 748 could probably be replace by one Q400 if frequencies are reduced due to the increased passenger capacity
- Comes out first of all three (1999)
- Fuel flow is almost double the HS748's
- Range is slightly lower (1019 mi compared to 1264 mi)
EMB-170:
- Two more seats than the Q400 (80)
- The fastest of all three (450 mph); 3 HS 748 could probably be replace by one EMB-170 if frequencies are reduced
- Range is slightly higher than the HS 748 (1347 mi)
- Comes out in 2002, 3 years after the Q400
- Fuel flow is more than four times the HS 748's
ATR-72-600:
- More seats than the HS 748, but has the least seats of all three (74)
- Faster than the HS 748, but the slowest of all three (305 mph); Could be a 1:1.5 replacement for the HS 748 if frequencies are reduced
- Fuel flow is less than half the HS 748's
- Range is the highest of all three (1528 mi)
- Comes out the latest of all three (2010), so I am not really inclined to replacing the HS 748 with this as much as the other two as I do not like keeping the same aircraft for a long time.
If I missed anything or if you want to suggest a different aircraft, do not hesitate to tell me.

For prop, the ATR or Q400.........if a jet, go with the CRJ200LR hands down. Sweet little plane.
Yup. That little jet can fly as far as a 737 in some cases!

As I like to plan ahead, I would like to ask which aircraft would be a good replacement for my fleet of HS 748 in the future. The current candidates are Bombardier Q400, ATR-72-600, and EMB-170. The aircraft would be used on routes from Luxembourg-Findel to various cities in Europe. I would list the pros and cons of each aircraft below.

- Range is slightly lower (1019 mi compared to 1264 mi)
EMB-170:

I'm in the same dilemma. If you really need to have the replacement plane ASAP, go with the Q400 as it is the most similar to the HS748. Also, if you are a regional carrier, keep in mind that jetpowered aircraft have longer runway requirements, so the CRJ may not be a good choice. If you really want to quibble, you can replace the HS748s with the Q400s and then switch some routes to the ATR whenever it is released.
It's really me, now. #backtoAE

P.S Base from many airlines you will see why airlines in Any country would replace the same or more they don't replace the aircraft that the quantity have like the HS you have 43 and you are replacing with 30, it will bring your your routes go down..
