Yikes!

Jetblue flt. 292 with 145 pax. on board is scheduled to make an emergency landing at LAX in about 90 min. The plane's front gear is bent at a 90 degree angle from the way it should be, and will not retract. The plane dumped some fuel over the pacific ocean but still has more to burn off.

A320s can't dump fuel :P

I thought this was another blown out case, it's not life threatining, but this could be a w/o :P

yeah, I just got home from the Y, and I realized, too late, that a fule dump is not an option. This plane took off from BUR and was originally going to go to Long Beach, but the runway was shorter than that at LAX. They say that the gear should snap away after landing, and that the plane should send out sparks, but noting else.

I guess this has only happaned once before on an A320, an AA flight in '99.

What a nice landing. Man pilots with planes that don't have problems don't make landings that nice
