Per this suggestion, I'm planning to start a new 60min/day world. What time period would people prefer?

Note: Please vote only if you actually intend to play in the slow world!

This sounds awesome! Great world to slowly build and it will be easier to maintain an airline!

I recommend it is rotated amongst the worlds.

One 1 hour/day round, another 15 minutes/day round, and the rest are 30 minutes/day.

I guess it would be a good idea to at least have one world that is slow.

Makes bigger airlines more manageable and your not constantly overloaded with 300 idle planes to schedule.

Should be 2000-2040. Makes the 787s quicker to nab.

I'm planning to start this world in about 3 weeks since it will be similar to R3 and I want to avoid excessive overlap in time periods :P

2000-2040 would be best because you get more fuel efficent aircraft and there bigger

So just a thought or two...

1: I like the idea, because I have killed so many big airlines simply because I could not devote the time they needed to continue to grow at the pace they were receiving planes

However,

2: Follow this... 1hr/day is 24days in 24 hours... so a month in a day bc we all know AE months are 24(why, i still havent figured out) however, we are talking about a world that takes 12months x 40 years = 480 days to complete the world from start to finish. A world that lasts 16 months real world time? Seems weird! and extra long.

Just my 2 cents...

I won't play.  But  I'm torn.  I think the games are to long.   But a lot happens if I can't check the game every day. So that would be better.with a long world.    And I can't  check every day.  Then I got to sit here 5 hours placing piled up aircraft.  I really would like a shorter game.   Or at least to have one new world available every day.

Or at least to have one new world available every day.

That is simply not feasible at the present, until we have private worlds at least.

If/when we do have a 1 day / hour game, it would probably be 20-25 years instead of 40. :P

Having a job and a family means I usually don't have much time for my airlines. This usually means that after a while I have loads of freshly delivered aircraft that don't have routes, simply because I don't have enough time to put them on routes. So a slow world would be greatly appreciated !!

With 1 game month per real life day, a 30 year world would take approximately a full year to finish, which sounds nice to me. As a time period, I would prefer 1985 - 2015 as we have clear data on 99% of aircraft available in that period. A game up to 2040 would simply be unrealistic, we can't know what will fly by then and how its economics will be.

Always aim high !
