Now I have started a route from Atlanta DeKalb to Miami Opa Locka with no competition, matching the daily demand of passengers (11 flights a week) and a grand daily profit of $27 462 in world S1 (one hub and one terminal allowed). Now I must know some advice on beating staff, maintenance, gate costs ect.

P.S I returned my unused gates at atlanta dekalb.

Firstly, lease more aircraft - you can't beat monthly costs staying with one!

3 major tips for new airlines:

1) fewer aircraft types (keep to 1-2 families in the beginning) - each additional family adds huge maintenance costs that are uneconomical if you only have 1-2 aircraft in the family
2) more flight hours / higher aircraft utilization (especially in the startup phase)
3) spend money on leasing more aircraft, don't waste it on IFE/IFS

With these ideas, making a healthy profit should not be a problem. ;)

@yuxi 1. It only requires 10 hours of flying a week to reach the daily demand for Atlanta Dekalb to Miami Opa Locka
2. I don't have IFS/IFE

But I have started making a healthy profit so if i get to around 8 mil I will lease another ATR72 and fly another route to a secondary airport

dont wait till 8mill for an ATR :facepalm:thats enough for a couple of 737/a320 family.

Point being - lease, don't buy.

yes, provided the aircraft goes through a port already served so in your case, if you want to start a new route with your existing aircraft, it has to be from Opa Locka or Dekalb
