It's like the old days of FS 1 and FS 2 when you only had a cessna and a learjet and could only fly in Chicago, New York or Boston and a sopwith camel to bomb some squares on a battle area

It's like going back in time to 1993 when I had to buy BAO Flight Shop to create and use third party aircraft on FS 5.0. VATSIM and IVAO have no chance with Fly and so do so many commercial and personal scenery and aircraft developers.
Treasure your copies of MSFS and their patches, they might be worth a fortune 20 years from now.

I came from a Flight Simulator background of APs, Cat IIIs and DMEs; now I'm getting points for remembering to lower the landing gear and hit the runway centre line. I can't help feeling Microsoft have made a grave error dumbing it down this much.
And just for the record, Microsoft, I thought you wanted to create an 'every-man' flying programme? I once showed a friend (with an IQ close to that of a teaspoon, maybe I'm being a little generous) FS9. He had no previous interest in aviation but instantly ordered FSX - and still uses it to this day. If, therefore, the previous FS series could entice new flyers; why did you create this s***?"
