Just like lease payments depreciation is an expense. While depreciation isn't a cash payment it's a finance book expense that lowers tax payments.
Aircraft Depreciation should be considered as an expense for tax purposes

After giving up AE to focus on school (specifically accounting), it's only reasonable for me to expect the game follow realistic standards. The only question is whether to follow GAAP or IFRSOnly a matter of time, International accounting standards were followed
For one, the first six months of an aircraft lease should be expensed over those six months, even though the cash is paid upfront. You can pretty easily manipulate net income depending on the timing of leases. Also, I'd like to see callable bonds and the option for capital leases in addition to operating leases.
