I think it would be neat if you could choose where you wanted your gates(i.e. at BWI, you could choose the new Councourse A for more expensive, or the much older concourse D for less expensive. It would also help out once the alliance feature is in, as you would be able to choose whether connections are easy to make(i.e. ANA and U.S. at IAD) or hard to make(i.e. U.S. and UA at IAD(You have to go back to the main terminal)). I just think this would be an interesting idea. It would also increase or decrease PAX #'s on certain flights depending on the ease of connection(i.e. if all of your gates are next to each other, PAX #s increase) and the difficulty of connection (using bwi as an example: You have 1 gate in Concourse A, and another departing from the Int'l terminal E). Just thought it would be interesting to share.

Yeah it's a really good idea, let's say you write the code for it, and do all the research on how the terminals are oriented in all cities like say Xiamen, okay? ;)

I will do research. I've already started on the North American Cities.

Uhm I was kinda being ironic, but...

Anyways, okay you do research, do you do coding as well? I'm certainly not gonna do something like that, and i doubt Miller is. So you'll have to do that too to get this suggestion through. ;)

I don't know really if I can concur on that... So how detailed exactly is your research?

No offense but that was kind of...welll, in fact, it was, very condescending. I would do the research and coding for any new feature in a heartbeat. But you were just being "ironic" (I don't think you know what that word means, BTW, and if you think that I am being condescending, it is because I feel that you were very rude to the person making the suggestion). And following an underhanded insult with a smilie does not make it alright. Or at least that is the way I interpreted it. If it was not intended that way, I apologize, but it certainly came across that way.

Seriously man, this is the suggestions forum and thus it invites suggestions. Well one would think, anyway. Instead, someone (usually, but not always, someone relatively new) throws a suggestion out there, and is not only not supported in a positive manner or given any sort of constructive critcism, but is invariably shot down immediately and with such animosity that you would think that they insulted someone's mother or spat on their grave or something. This is almost always done by people like yourself, who have been playing the game longer and (it seems to me) enjoy the status quo and try to shoot down any new tweak or even the slightest hint of a shift in te paradigm of the game, or a different take on the game's dynamics. The following thread is a good example of this phenomenon:

http://www.airlineem...ad.php?tid=3630 (post by Nathaniel)

Again, no offense to you, I am just pointing out what I perceive as a bit of a ridiculous reaction to certain suggestions that are made.

There is the post in this thread that sheds light on it also...

http://www.airlineem...ad.php?tid=3791 (post by LiveAirlines.com)

Anyway...more to the point.

I think this is an excellent idea...however I think that there are more pressing issues for now. If you are willing to do research, that's great.

Ok and finally:

To anyone that cares, I am willing to do any sort of coding work to improve the game in anyway possible. I can do PHP, Perl, Python, have experience with MySQL and PostGres, and I can also do C/C++/Java coding as well. Just throwing it out there (since it was suggested that to be taken seriously in your suggestions you have to code and research everything beforehand).

IRelayer: I agree with you to 100% about that this forum is waaay too hostile towards suggestions, and i have always thought and tried my very best not too contribute to that. I am very sad that my post was considered condescending. (Yes I know what that means, after looking it up in the dictionary that is :P) Nevertheless, I'm glad you pointed that out for me, I'm probably growing more into this forum and becoming less aware of how my posts are interpreted.

Anyways, how I reasoned was that I was trying to state my opinions about the suggestions in a humourous and relaxed way. I feel myself that I would certainly be able to take a disagreeing comment easier if it was expressed in an relaxed and brotherly manner, than if it was stated using very formal language. That might not be case with everyone, but I don't know, and thus I can only write from my own perspective.

WSHNationals: I am very sorry if my posts were insulting. That was definitely not my intention; my intention was only to say that it seems to be a huge project, of course i am glad that somebody is willing to take on it, but, as IRelayer states, there are more pressing issues at the moment.
