Beechcraft announced today that they have already garnered over 40 orders for their popular 1900D airliner.
Beechcraft spokespeople were quick to warn wallstreet that strong sales might only last through year one, as airlines grew and moved to to bigger aircraft.
For people new the the game, every manufactuer builds 20 airframes per month (all types), delivering them to airlines in the order they were purchased, never giving any airline more than 2 aircraft per month. When the backlog is larger than 20, production increases slightly (10% of backlog + the oringal 20 I think).
Beechcraft sold out for Q1
