Midwestern DC-9-30 (1968)

In 1968, Midwestern Airlines, at the time operating under the name Central States since 1955, went through a rebranding process which brought to fruition the airline we know and love today. Though short lived, this livery made an appearance on all new aircraft between 1968 and 1975.

The DC-9-30 pictured above played an important role with the carrier with the airline going on to operate over 90 of the type. It connected key destinations throughout the airline’s network, primarily through its hubs in Cleveland and Cincinnati.
