Japan 738

In 2013, Yangtze Group and Japan's Nihon Airlines partnered to created Yangtze Japan. At its founding, Yangtze Group and NAL each held 40% of the airline, with various other Japanese investors holding the remaining 20%. Yangtze Japan started operating with a fleet of brand new Boeing 737-800 jets originally ordered by Yangtze Airlines. Yangtze Japan's 737 retained most of Yangtze's cabin designs, albeit with different colored seat colors. However, most of Yangtze Japan's crew members are former NAL crew members, and NAL increased their share to 60% in 2021, with Yangtze reducing their shares to only 30%. Today, Yangtze Japan operates as a low-cost arm of NAL serving mainly Chinese passengers. Yangtze Japan operates a fleet of Boeing 737s and 767s between its base in Narita and several other Japanese tourist destinations, as well as less popular cities in China not served by NAL or Yangtze.
