JAT recently took delivery of their first Airbus A350-900, which will be utilized to replace the aging Boeing 777-200ER/non-ER fleet alongside the Boeing 787-9 and 787-10. JA01JT was ferried directly from Toulouse to Tokyo Narita and is currently being used between the airline's hubs for crew training.

The A350's commercial service will begin once the airline is confident that everything will go well, but that should not take long. When everything goes as planned, it will take off to Singapore as its first commercial destination.
