I miss the days where I could fly direct between China and the states...

ANYWAYS

Coming at you live from Shanghai Pudong Airport's gate D75. Terminal 2 has been quite dead ever since COVID, but today, there's actually a fair bit of people, mostly from the outbound Emirates, Turkish, Singapore, and Lufthansa flights. Air China also has a few departures, but their gates are a lot emptier than the foreign airlines'. I'll be traveling with Lufthansa to Munich today, before connecting on United to Dulles. The first leg of my flight has me on an A350-900, which would usually get me excited as it's one of my favorite in the skies today, but given the other 3 legs of this trip had me on a "High J" 767-300ER, one of the last remaining A340-300s, and the forgotten about 767-400ER, the A350 actually seems really common place. Still, it should be a very nice and comfortable trip from Lufthansa Premium Economy, seat 15H. When it comes to Premium Economy, aisle seats are vastly superior to window seats due to the aisles being hard to access due to the crazy recline.

And yes, I am ever so slightly worried about this flight after the JAL crash yesterday.
