nordavia was founded by a russian businesssman in 2001 as a full service airline flying six yak-42s on domestic routes. in 2010, a majority share was transferred to seversol (северсол) a travel agency.
as of 2023, nordavia operates a mix of airbus and boeing jets on domestic routes and to destinations across central asia, the middle east, north africa, southeast asia and the carribean.
