Boeing 767 200 TGA

Boeing 767 200 TGA

In 1989 Trans Global Airlines saw growing competition, so the board decided to start a restructuration of the airline operations.
The major changes was the change of focus of the airline, from focusing on international travel to the national market, aiming to become a major US airline.
The airline saw changes in the fleet aswell seing the small fleet of Boeing 737-100s retired and newer planes getting ordered like the Boeing 737-400, intended to become the backbone of the airline in the future.
Of course the airline kept a big international network, but removed unprofitable routes and most of the stopover routes, as the fleet was reorganized it was decided to use the Boeing 747 for most of the international routes.

The hub that suffered the most was Cleveland, where the majority of the operations were moved to the airline Detroit Hub to cut costs.
While Cleveland became a focus city, the airline decided to boost operations out of Chicago and Detroit.

The most visible change for the passenger was the change of the livery and the branding.
